Online appointment booking allows you to create, reschedule or cancel your normal appointments online instead of calling your health care provider’s office to book an appointment. 

By using the online appointment booking services, you will also be able to provide patient satisfaction and feedback directly through the portal, and have your provider easily generate eReferrals. 

With online appointment booking, you also no longer need to call your provider within office hours to book an appointment. You can schedule your appointments using the online booking platform anywhere, anytime. When you book online, you will also receive email or text reminders so you never miss an upcoming appointment.

Registered patients of healthcare providers participating in this pilot program are eligible to book their appointments using the online booking platform. Select providers at Kawartha North Family Health Team, City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team and Community Care Community Health Centre will be offering online appointment booking. 

Booking an appointment with your provider online is quick and easy!

1. Visit your provider’s website and click on the appropriate link to the portal
2. Check-in with your name, health number, and birth date
3. Pick your health care provider
4. Provide brief information about your appointment
5. Choose a date & time
6. Done!

Yes! Online appointment booking is being introduced as an optional service for existing patients of participating practices. You will always have the option to book appointments by telephone.

Yes! The online appointment booking platform is powered by Ocean by CognisantMD. The Ocean Platform is used by numerous Public Health organizations, the Ontario Ministry of Health, and leading teaching hospitals. All information you input into the platform is encrypted from end-to-end, then transmitted directly into your patient record at the health care provider’s office.
