Welcome to our Spring newsletter for the Kawartha Lakes Ontario Health Team! We recently wrapped up our public survey and focus groups and in this edition we share some initial feedback we received about what matters most with your healthcare in Kawartha Lakes. We also provide an update on the rollout of Online Appointment Booking, as well as introduce some new members to our KL-OHT team.
We are nearing the end of 2021 and the Kawartha Lakes Ontario Health Team has been hard at work developing strategies and projects that will support the future of our local health services into next year and beyond. Our Virtual Wellness Program, Remote Patient Monitoring Program and Online Appointment Booking rollout are just a few ways that we are working towards improving population health outcomes and incorporating a Digital-First thinking into our healthcare system, all with co-design in mind.
The Kawartha Lakes Ontario Health Team (KL-OHT) has been hard at work over the past few
months growing our team and further developing projects that support our community. We are pleased to announce several new team members have joined our growing OHT. We are excited to welcome Stephanie MacLaren, KL-OHT Executive Director, effective September 7, 2021. Visit our website to learn more about Stephanie's career and her vision for KL-OHT.
Our mission is to coordinate and connect care to create a seamless experience for patients and families in the Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton regions.
