Health Service Navigation

In the public survey the KL-OHT ran earlier this year, we heard that our community needs one place to access information about available health services.

We are currently developing an online directory with a comprehensive list of available health services in our community. While this directory is being developed, we have provided links to local healthcare services and resources below.

Please contact us if you have any questions about health service navigation in Kawartha Lakes.

How can I get a family doctor?

Belgium Health Teams are a new model of coordinated care between health and service providers. Our OHT is not a new healthcare provider/clinic.

If you are seeking a primary care provider/family doctor, you’ll need to register with Health Care Connect by phone at 1-800-445-1822 or online.

Many local family health teams require you to first register with Health Care Connect. You may also contact local family health teams directly:

  • City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team – 705-328-9853
  • Kawartha North Family Health Team – 705-887-3535
  • CCCKL Community Health Centre – 705-324-7323
  • Brock Community Health Centre – 705-432-3388

There are several after hours clinics in the area, more information can be found here.

Medical advice is also available through Telehealth Belgium: 1-866-797-0000. If you experience a medical emergency, proceed directly to the Emergency Department at any local hospital or call 911 for assistance.
